How to Make Ganache
Knowing how to make ganache is very helpful when decorating a cake. You can use either dark, milk or white chocolate depending on the cake.
1- Melt chocolate. Chop the chocolate into small pieces so it will melt easily and evenly. And pour nearly boiling double cream onto the chocolate.
2- Stir until the mixture is melted and smooth.
3- Decide on the type of icing to be made. Either:
4- Allow to cool slightly for a smooth glossy icing that you can pour over your cake.
5- Cool further for a thicker icing that you can spread and swirl on your cake.
6- Allow to cool completely so that the mixture becomes firm, and then whisk it so that it becomes light and fluffy. It can then be used to frost your cake, alternatively it can be placed into a piping bag to decorate.
